AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Austin police have arrested a man in connection with at least eight armed robberies. Marcello Douglas is charged with aggravated robbery and parole violation. Police say more arrests may follow. They have said a group of two to four men in their 20s committed the robberies in June and July.

HOUSTON (AP) - Federal regulators say Great American Marketing of Houston has recalled about 475 pounds of ready-to-eat products due to possible listeria contamination. The U.S. Department of Agriculture last night announced the recall of sandwich and wrap items produced July 15th and shipped to retail sites in Texas. Authorities have no reports of anyone getting sick.

HOUSTON (AP) - A Harris County mother will receive a tribute flag for her son more than nine years after he was killed while serving as a Marine in Iraq. Patsy Maciel says she received her son's belongings and an official U.S. flag after he was killed in a helicopter crash in Fallujah in 2005. She says she didn't learn there was another flag until she recently received a Facebook message from a couple near Beaumont.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - The Amon (AY'-muhn) Carter Museum of American Art has acquired a Raphaelle Peale painting called "Peaches and Grapes in a Chinese Export Basket." It's the first work by Peale to enter the Amon Carter Museum collection. The still-life painting was purchased in memory of the museum's founder. Ruth Carter Stevenson died last year.
