COLLEGE STATION - Tuesday marks the first day of Hanukah, and to celebrate, members of A&M's Jewish community got together that evening on campus.
The largest menorah in the state of Texas was lit, by A&M's Chabad Jewish student group. The special ordered menorah is two feet taller than the one used by students at the University of Texas. And this year is the first for the Jewish Center at A&M, making Tuesday's event, the first menorah lighting.
Representatives from the city of College Station, as well as A&M were also on hand for the lighting.
