COLLEGE STATION - A Bryan man is accused of drunk driving and crashing into several vehicles in the process.
Sheriff's deputies were called out to an accident on Harvey Mitchell Parkway in College Station at around 7:00 Tuesday night.
They later found that the driver of a black, four-door Kia Forte had driven down the embankment on FM 2818 (Harvey Mitchell Parkway) and struck the opposite side, causing the vehicle to become damaged and disabled.
Passing motorists stopped to assist the driver because smoke was emanating from the vehicle.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the driver, later identified as Steven Alan Bethea, had struck multiple vehicles while driving drunk.
Bethea was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated with two prior convictions, making the 3rd charge a third degree felony.
