BRYAN- A fatal accident involving a motorcycle and semi truck kills one person in Bryan.
The accident happened Sunday around 3:31 a.m. in the 600 block of N. Earl Rudder Freeway just south of Briarcrest Drive.
Bryan Police say 31 year old Michael Daniell was riding his motorcycle northbound on Highway 6 when he hit the rear of a semi's trailer that was also traveling northbound.
Daniell from Bryan was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say a major factor in the accident could have been the high rate of speed Daniell was traveling at.
Highway 6 northbound was closed for approximately 5 hours during the investigation.
There were no other vehicles or passengers involved in the accident.
