BRAZOS COUNTY- The identities of two victims from Sunday night shooting in South Brazos County has been released.
The sheriff's office says the double shooting happened around 9 p.m. on Navasota Ridge in a camp house on private property.
42 year old Daniel Barker allegedly shot his ex-girlfriend 27 year old Cassandra Ross through a window using a shotgun.
"Both were shotgun wounds," Brazos County Sheriff Chris Kirk said, "The one the blast went through the window struck the victim. Barker's wound was a chest wound and it was a close contact and this point we don't know if it was accidental of self inflicted."
Ross was shot in the back of the head and is in critical condition at the College Station Medical Center.
Barker was found near the house in the woods with the shotgun and a rifle and was life flighted to a hospital in Houston also in critical condition.
Officials say the couple had an argument the night before the shooting.
The sheriff's office are still talking to witnesses.
