
BRAZOS COUNTY- A Navasota man was arrested while still in the hospital accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend.
Brazos County Sheriff's Investigators served a 1st degree felony warrant for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon to 42 year old Daniel Lee Barker. He was arrested in his hospital bed at Herman Memorial Hospital where he was being treated for a self inflicted shotgun would to the chest.
Barker is accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend through a window back in May at a camp site on Navasota Ridge in South Brazos County.
Barker continues to recover from his wound and will get the treatment and follow-up attention that has been prescribed.
Bond for Barker was set at $250,000.
The victim of the shooting, 27 year old Casandra Ross has survived her wounds and remains hospitalized at the College Station Medical Center, condition improving.
