Pair of Runoff Elections to Hold Forum Tuesday Night

By Adam Hammons and Sabrina Reed

BRAZOS COUNTY- Brazos County will soon hold a runoff election. If you'd like to ask a candidate a question, you'll get your chance Tuesday night. The Republican Women of the Brazos County is hosting a forum for the runoff elections for Brazos County District Attorney and Texas House District 12.

The forum will be at the Oakwood Ballroom in the Hilton in College Station. The doors open at 5:30 and will start at 6:00 p.m.

The forum will start out with District Attorney candidates Jarvis Parsons and David Hillburn going first.  Parsons got over 48% of the original vote and Hillburn came in second.  Then Tucker Anderson and Kyle Kacal will answer questions.  Anderson had more votes in the original election but had less than 30% of the total vote.

To have a candidate give an answer, the question has to be submitted in writing at the forum.

A runoff election is held when a vote does not give one candidate more than 50% of the total votes.
