Eric Pointer joined ABC40 in May 2013. He spent some time behind the scene as a production assistant for our sister station before getting promoted to a reporter/photographer here at ABC40. Eric is the loudest and proudest member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2012.
Having called Brazos Valley home for the past four years, he is thrilled to be back in the Bryan/College Station area to put his degree in Telecommunication & Media Studies to work.
With a father in the Air Force, Eric was able to live all over but will always call Fort Worth home.
While at Texas A&M, Eric was a three time Fish Camp counselor, director in CARPOOL and held down a job with Rec Sports all four years.
As a reporter and photographer, Eric loves telling people's stories and keeping the Brazos Valley well informed. When he's not in the field you can find him enjoying a good book or movie, spending time with old friends, or making new ones. He isn't afraid to try new things or get his hands dirty for the sake of the job.
