Galen joined the ABC40 team in July 2014. He reports in the field, covering stories throughout the Brazos Valley and Central Texas.
This Portland native is a University of Oregon Duck, graduating with a double degree in broadcast journalism and Mandarin Chinese. His media experience has brought him around the world. His first internship was in Beijing, China, with the entertainment production company, LeTV.com. He next traveled to Houston, where he worked as a news intern at KPRC. He might miss the Oregon rain, but is excited for the opportunities Texas has to offer.
You wouldn’t know it from looking at him, but Galen is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and speaks conversational Japanese. When he isn’t on TV, he loves to sing and record studio covers of Chinese and Japanese songs to his YouTube channel.
